Loaded is the fourth album by The Velvet Underground, released in 1970. The album was recorded during a time of turmoil for the band, with founder and leader Lou Reed leaving before its release. The sound of the album is more pop-rock with elements of folk-rock and rhythm and blues, while still retaining the band's signature melodic style. The album features Lou Reed on vocals, guitar, and piano, Doug Yule on vocals, guitars, piano, bass, and drums, Maureen 'Moe' Tucker on drums, and Sterling Morrison on guitar, with additional musicians on some tracks.
